We met a few years back when I drove over (from St Helena) to get a few pananner things - primarily a PocketPC stand. Still using it, but this week the PPC done flew da coop, so to speak, so I'm scrambling at the moment.

Especially appreciated your footage of the Wragg fire etc - NICE PIX!!! Pretty impressive on both sides - the terrifying power of the fire AND the phenomenal blessing of dedicated firefighters! As I watched this from afar, or anear, watching the stats on personnel and equipment grow, it really struck me what an awesome responsibility to sit in upper management of such an effort -- hard to imagine the burden!

At any rate, on a totally different tack here: there's a movie I think you might appreciate on the gardening topic that shares space herein. It's primarily about a guy up near the Olympic Rainforest whose gardening experiences have become an exemplary way of life. The movie is called "Back to Eden" and you can view it on their web site: &back&to&eden&movie&dot&com& without all the obfuscating ampersands. Just guessing, but I _think_ that you'll enjoy it. Perhaps I'm projecting, but as your postings include MANY little things which I, too, find delightful, it's not a groundless guess.

Fare thee well!

jm@StHjmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03438997139792911841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9121433062734513942.post-40994264675383249332014-11-10T08:02:22.699-08:002014-11-10T08:02:22.699-08:00Your concerns around that drought are highly appre...Your concerns around that drought are highly appreciated. The actions you took were very helpful, especially to the neighboring local wildlife. It would be a hard season to experience a drought, and I'm glad that, not only were you ready for it, you worked your way around it and took a course of action that is best not only for you, but for the surrounding species as well. All the best! :)

Lorenza Coon @ Central Basin Municipal Water DistrictAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18001092792601245032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9121433062734513942.post-11063463166234319292014-10-13T09:22:24.013-07:002014-10-13T09:22:24.013-07:00Hoping for a nice wet winter this year!
